Life is good
Since I like to go back and look at my posts, here is a post for myself for later. Remember that life is good. You have an amazing daughter who is turning out to be a really good little kid (which partly means that you are doing a good job parenting, even during those times when you feel challenged by the role). Remember the feeling of hearing her say "Lub u momma" and how amazing her super tight hugs feel. Think about how much you love it when she climbs into your lap just to hang out. Also think about how much fun it is to play, read stories, and have conversations with her. Remember the smile on her face when you do things together and how happy it makes you to hear her say "Lexi happy!". When you are stressed out about cooking dinner every night, remember how thankful you are to sit down and eat with your daughter every night she is at home. Remember how thankful you are to have a good job to go to every morning. And know that even on the hard days, things always get better. Remember that you are good at your job and you deserve the good things that come from working so hard. Remind yourself that when people are taking the easy route and getting away with being less than honest, you will always take the right path- that is just who you are and how you were raised. Life is not fair and the best you can do it walk away from it knowing that you were true to yourself and you can be proud of your decisions. Think about how much you love your living room painted purple and that even though it seriously sucked to paint it, you did it. You can do what ever you set your mind to. It doesn't have to be perfect, you just have to try. It doesn't matter if there is dust on your tv, go to bed when you are sleepy and dust another day. The dishes will always be there the next day. Enjoy life, enjoy your daughter, enjoy feeling happy. Challenge yourself but remember that sometimes it is okay to do nothing. It is completely acceptable to stay in jammies and hang out in the house all morning with your favorite toddler. Remember that you are the type of person that likes to make others happy, just be sure to take care of yourself in the process. Think about the the things that make you happy and then DO THEM! Sing more, dance more, laugh more, smile as much as possible :).
