And now the fun begins!

Alexis is 12 weeks old now. On Friday she rolled over to her belly for the first time! I consider that my reward for surviving my first two day back at work. We recently got her a Bumbo seat since she loves sitting. She really enjoys it for about 5 minutes right now and then it is time for something new. These pictures are all from the weekend. She loves to lay on the blanket from great-grandma Yeomans. She has really started enjoying playing with toys and likes to hold onto the monkey blankie daddy got her. She laughs so much now and I finally got good pictures of it. I have been trying to get a video of it but we have not been successful yet.
in addition to starting back to work last week, my class starts today. I got logged in and printed everything off before Alexis decided she was done with her bouncy seat. So now the fun begins- how to juggle everything. I can type on the blog ith one hand but I think my papers and projects will require both hands -just guessing from the number of typos that I am sure are in this post. And no, I am not going to proof read my blog- please just trust that I do know how to spell.
I guess I should try to start some dinner and maybe get some reading done while I have a chance :o) My 4am alarm comes very early in the morning so the earlier I can get to bed, the better!

Here are some of the recent pictures of Alexis. Playing games with daddy and showing off her new favorite hobby- sitting! She is such a smiley little girl and loves chatting in her bouncy seat. She is always up for a good snuggle with mommy after she eats and we can't help but take pictures of her then :o)

She still loves playing in her activity center. I love that her arms are all blurry from going so crazy! Add in some winding down time with daddy and it was time for a nap in the "baby nest".

I just got the pictures loaded on the computer and as soon as I touched the blog, Lexi woke up & has decided that computer time is over :o) I will try again tomorrow.

Time is flying by!

I cannot believe how fast my leave time is going! I have to go back to work in just over 2 weeks. I registered for my fall class yesterday and just ordered my book- guess school really is starting again. I know we will all adapt to our new schedules and be just fine but I sure am going to miss spending all day with my princess.
Good stuff- I had a great visit over the weekend from my family. My dad, sister & family, and my brother and his kids came to Colorado to visit us and meet Alexis. It is crazy how big the kids are getting! Iain & Lindsey are already taller than me and Brenda's kids seem to be about a foot taller since the last time I saw them. Kind of reminds me how long it has been since I have seen everyone. Plus we are now a really loud group :o) Having everyone at our house was great and I had fun showing it off but goodness, adding that many more people to the mix sure does add some extra volume to the day! For the birthday party, Kelsey and her boys were able to make it up to visit. Her boys are so cute and definitely had a good time playing with all the kids! Alexis loved being held by her Auntie Brenda a lot and Lindsey, Olivia, and Carter also made sure to get their cuddles in as often as possible. I will have some pictures up soon (Lexi is sleeping right now so if she cooperates, they will be up today) and hopefully Todd will have his pictures up soon so I can get the good ones posted.
Time to get started on my "Before-I-Go-Back-To-Work" List- boo!
