Time to Catch Up!
What have we been up to in June?
Emma caught a bird. Now she is confident that she can catch anything. Thank goodness for her gentle lead although sometimes I swear it doesn't make a difference. I brushed her again today- that pesky undercoat is desperately trying to come out so I did the best I could to help it- great for the allergies (insert sarcastic tone). She has a small obsession with letting her hair grow so she tries to catch it all & eat it. After the brushing, I brushed her teeth. Turns out she doesn't like it very much :o) I also did Token's teeth. She also did not like it much but it worked a little easier as she weighs less than 10lbs. The animals will not come near me right now.
I have been on a book reading frenzy lately. I just finished the 4 Odd Thomas books by Dean Koontz- very good. I am on book 5 in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series by Alexander McCall Smith. They are really good books, usually a slow start but a great story once you get into it.
I love almost free cable. With On Demand, there is always something on- if the tv shows & free movies aren't enough, there are shows on from way back when (Party of Five, the early Facts of Life, and I think even Silver Spoons). Plus the DVR is awesome!
I took a sick day Friday. I got the same stuff that I had in January but not quite as bad. That time I lost my voice & I was sick for a few weeks. I am hoping to be better by Monday. Cory has it now but he seems to be feeling a little better today.
I have quit biting my nails. I know they say that it takes 6 weeks to start/stop a habit but I feel pretty confident that I am over it.
I really do not understand why they have to put "Do Not Attempt" on the commercial where Quiznos is making fun of Subway & the person eats the $5 bill.
We got a new camera so I will be putting up some more pictures soon. In addition to adding new pictures from the camera, I have been putting the pictures back on from the cds from the whole "issue" with the computer. It has been a lot of fun to look at some of the older ones.
I think the Benadryl I took due to the aforementioned allergies is finally kicking. I should have some more up tomorrow!

Funk-b-gone!
What a great week- 3 days of work, my birthday and movies!!! I had a very nice relaxing day for my birthday- lunch with the ladies & dinner with Cory. Thank for the cards & emails...31 is starting out pretty good! :o)
Jae and I went to Sex and the City last night- it was great! I spent last weekend catching up on season 6 (Thanks HBO on demand!!!) and then yesterday before the movie I watched season 1 (Thanks Jae!!!). There are a few things that I am still confused about but just incase you are planning on seeing the movie, I will not ruin it here. Today we are going to the driving range & then to see Indiana Jones. I know I have seen at least parts of the original ones but I am not sure if I have ever watched a whole one- at least I don't have expectations for the movie I guess. Work is going ok- just lots of training. I have added a few new skillsets to my already outstanding list & I will be doing the team errors for the summer.
Now we have a countdown until the kids are out here for a week & Cory's birthday. It looks like it might just be a good summer :o)
