Working on my list

I have been working on my list and can almost cross a few more off.

*I FINALLY scheduled my platelet donatation appointment for February 15th- do you know that it is a needle in each arm?!?!

*We are buying groceries every week to contribute to the Parker food bank. My plan is to hold them each week and then make a monthly donation.

*I realize it is not exactly learning how to cook but I made my first pot roast and it actually turned out. Now I am sure most of you are saying "You just put it in the crock pot- how hard is that?" but please feel free to ask Cory about the Mac & Cheese I made that you are just supposed to have to add milk, butter, and the fake cheese packet. I am pretty sure Brenda got all of the cooking skills but I can sure make a mean bag of microwave popcorn when needed. Of course everytime I try to make one at work, the bag catches on fire.... nothing that a little water won't take care of though.

First Change of 2008

I finally decided that I was tired of my hair (that is always in a ponytail these days) and on Friday after work, I went and got it cut. Not a great big deal but after a traumatic experience when I first moved to Colorado with a horrible hair cut, I haven't gotten it cut more than a couple of inches. But Friday after work, I went to chop off my hair. The original plan was about 8 inches but Tina, my new favorite stylist, told me I was a few inches short of donating to Locks of Love. http://locksoflove.org/ It takes 11" at least to donate hair (10" donation and 1" for the part with the ponytail holder). I decided to go for the additional inches and cut my hair a little shorter than planned. I love the cut and it is still long enough to look cute with a baseball hat on, when needed. And after the new color and highlights, it is exactly what I was hoping for! Here's to some changes in 2008!
