We are now 30 weeks along and the baby is growing like crazy. I have no clue what the specifics are from the last doctor's appointment but I can feel that we are getting bigger. I need something to help support my belly when I am laying on my side and the quick movement to turn over and shut off my alarm in the morning is no longer quick. Crazy to think that in approximately 10 weeks, we are going to have a new person in our house. We are still getting settled into the house but I am starting to get the "we really need to get the nursery done" bug. For now I just go into her room and stare at all the adorable clothes we have and snuggle with the amazingly soft blankets.
We have started going in for weekly monitoring of the baby and we passed our first week with flying colors! It is a nice 30 minutes where I have no responsibilities except to lay there and listen to her heartbeat. The only stressful part for me is remembering to push the button when she moves- my reaction time is a little slow and I am afraid I am going to mark her movement wrong. But I do enjoy the peace of the appointments.
I am on the downside of this class- finishing week 5 of 8 this Sunday. A stupid group project. I have always hated group projects but I think trying to have an online class do a group project is quite possibly the stupidest thing since dog clothes (that is a whole different post). I understand the point of it but seriously, it sucks. I should be working on it right now but through the gazillion emails, no one can figure out what we should each be doing. I am getting to the point where I really don't care.
Emma has figured out the backyard thing by herself (as long as it isn't dark out) and it has been great being able to just let her play outside. It helps that there are a few squirrels, bunnies, and a stupid woodpecker to keep her busy. She diligently watches over the whole park as well and lets me know anytime there is a new dog in the park. Her and the nieghbor dog came to a quick truce and quit barking at each other through the fence after a few short days. Now the problem is that I worry about her when she is out there for too long.
The house is coming together slowly. Cory has been great at the house projects and thank goodness he knows what he is doing because I think I might be a little useless in that area. I am a good screwdriver-hander-over-er person but that is about it. My primary job has been making sure that all of the sections of the couch are broken in equally so I do rotate the sections that I nap on each day- that counts for something, right? :o)

I feel the same way about group projects--no fun! Good luck finishing it up! Can't wait to see you and the house sometime soon!
